Denmeades mark 50th anniversary by renewing vows

XYOUNGSTOWN -- The renewal of marriage vows took place Feb. 27 at St. Dominic Church as Mr. and Mrs. Donald Denmeade, 247 E. Avondale Ave., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple were also feted on the occasion of their anniversary during a reception held in their honor Feb. 21 at the United Presbyterian Church, Struthers.
Hosts for the event were members of their family, Mark and Michelle Denmeade of Canton, Maribeth Mazur of Hampton, Va., Michael and Kelly Denmeade of Heartland, Vt., and Maria and Doug Crosby of North Lima. There are seven grandchildren in the family.
A recent cruise to Alaska was also part of the couple's anniversary celebration.
The former Doris Darin and Mr. Denmeade were married Feb. 27, 1954, at St. Nicholas Church. They are members of St. Dominic Church.
Mrs. Denmeade is a receptionist with 621 Mill Creek Realty in Canfield.
Mr. Denmeade served with the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1958. He is retired from LTV Steel in Youngstown where he was an inventory coordinator, and from Mahoning Bank in Youngstown, where he was a supply clerk.
