XBOARDMAN -- Boardman United Methodist Church was the setting at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 14 as Cheri Oleksiuk of Youngstown and Paul Reese of Boardman were united in marriage by the Rev. Ash Welch.
A reception was held afterward at Nancy's Place in Youngstown in honor of the daughter of Stephen and Jane Oleksiuk of Youngstown and son of Dorothy Reese of Boardman and the late Herbert Reese.
The bride's halter-style white sheath gown was designed with a wedding band neckline and an overlay of Alencon lace enhanced with sequins and pearls, and featured a detachable cathedral train.
Wearing apple red gowns were the bride's sister and honor attendant, Christina Oleksiuk-Cascarelli of Austintown, and the bridesmaid, her niece, Stephanie Golec, of Youngstown.
The duties of best man were performed by David Koch of Boardman, and serving as groomsman was Robert Trout of Cuyahoga Falls.
The bride graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and Point Park University in Pittsburgh where she earned degrees in mortuary science and business administration. She is director of development/clinical embalmer with Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and a licensed funeral director
The groom graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in computer science and is a self-employed information technology consultant in Boardman.
After a wedding trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, the couple live in Boardman.
