CANFIELD Junior Women's League holds officer installation



Department heads and committee chairmen also were appointed.
CANFIELD -- Installation of officers for 2004-05 highlighted the May 27 meeting of the Canfield Junior Women's League.
Outgoing president Karen Pavlansky conducted the induction ceremony for the new president, Rita Peters, a member since 1996.
Peters, who has lived in Canfield for 11 years, served as recording secretary this past year, She is also a member of the PTO and a volunteer instructor for the CCD program at St. Michael Church. She and her husband, David, have four children and three grandchildren.
Taking positions as her associate officers were Deana Tareshawty, first vice president; Marcia Melvin, second vice president; Sally Joseph, recording secretary; Christine Hanrahan, treasurer; and Pavlansky, parliamentarian.
Those who will head departments are Danielle Strock, conservation; Patty Jones, education; Sue Ramdin, fine arts; Judy Buck, home life; Barb McGrath, international; and Sue Miller, public affairs.
Committee chairmen
Standing committee chairmen will be Anne Liller, constitution; Marnie Murphy and Diane Smythe, social; Sue Janca, nominating; Strock and Ramdin, yearbook; Pavlansky, community chest; Miller, publicity; Sandy Raines and Strock, hospitality; Dawn McDermott, telephone; Hanrahan, ways and means; Melvin, cook book sales and Sno-Cone; Liller, picture sales; Melanie McCormick and Pavlansky, federation; Buck, blood bank; Ramdin, scrapbook; McGrath, First Night Canfield; Peters and Terri Schade, fall market; and Strock and Pavlansky, Relay for Life.
