Motorcycles
The second annual "Our Fallen Officers" motorcycle run, sponsored by Jolly Joe's Restaurant and Sports Bar on Sheridan Road and Youngstown Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 28, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 11. Donation is $10 per person. The event features food, raffles and entertainment. Proceeds benefit the Michael T. Hartzell scholarship fund. The schedule is:
9 to 11 a.m.: Registration at Jackson Elementary, 1813 Windsor Drive.
11:30: Opening ceremony at Jolly Joe's.
11:50: Bikes out via Powers Way over the Center Street Bridge to Wilson Avenue.
Campbell, Struthers and Lowellville via state Route 289.
Poland Township, Poland village and Boardman via U.S. Route 224.
Canfield via 224 and state Route 62.
Ellsworth via 224 and state Route 45.
North Jackson via 45 and Mahoning Avenue.
Austintown via Mahoning to Raccoon Road to Resurrection Cemetery on North Raccoon.
The final leg is east on Mahoning Avenue through downtown Youngstown then south on South Avenue, ending at Jolly Joe's around 1:30 p.m.
