Golden Globe-nominated actress Rosanna Arquette is set to make a rare television appearance guest-starring on an upcoming episode of "Summerland."
According to media reports, Arquette will appear in the July 20 episode of The WB's popular freshman drama, playing the wayward mother of Taylor Cole's Erika. The absentee mom will visit the comely surf instructor with some bad news.
Through its first two weeks, "Summerland" was averaging more than 4.4 million viewers per episode, and despite a dip in its third week, the show has provided The WB with a solid summer boost. "Summerland" has performed particularly well among women ages 18-34, boosting its ratings in that appeal demographic with each passing week.
The series stars Lori Loughlin as an aspiring fashion designer who ends up raising her dead sister's three children along with her roommates.
"Desperately Seeking Susan" star Arquette has stepped up her television involvement after years of concentrating on feature films. Earlier this year, she appeared on three episodes of Showtime's "The L Word," while 2003 saw her drop by "Will & amp; Grace" and "The Practice" for brief stints.
For music lovers, though, Arquette will always be best known as the subject of a Toto song that won the Grammy for Record of the Year in 1983.
