Golden event marked by Flohrs during dinner



XCOLUMBIANA -- A dinner June 5 at Das Dutch Village Inn honored Mr. and Mrs. Charles Flohr, 204 W. Park Ave., for the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the honorees' sons and daughter-in-law, Charles A. Flohr of North Lima and Michael E. and Sallie Flohr of Cincinnati. The family circle also includes two grandchildren.
The former Elizabeth Nemenz and Mr. Flohr were married June 6, 1954, at Good Hope Lutheran Church in North Lima. They are members of the church.
Mrs. Flohr, a registered nurse for 40 years, retired in 1994 from Forum Health Southside Medical Center, Youngstown. She is a member of Hannah Circle at the church.
Retiring in 1987, Mr. Flohr was a technician with RCA/General Electric. He has been with Columbiana Volunteer Fire Department for 57 years and has been fire chief since 1976. Mr. Flohr was in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and served in the Pacific Theater and China.
