XSIDNEY -- A reception was held May 22 at The Oaks Club to honor Jeremy Bonar and his bride, the former Christina Suzette Johnson, both of 1097 Watkins Glen Court, following their 2:30 p.m. wedding at Sidney Baptist Church.
The Rev. Earnie Jones presided at the ceremony for the daughter of William and Carla Johnson, 10201 Meranda Road, Anna, and the son of Craig and Wendy Bonar, 376 Cherry Hill Lane, Cortland.
The couple left on a wedding trip to the Riveria Maya in Mexico. They live in Marysville.
The bride's strapless gown was embellished with beading and featured an empire waist and a three-tiered organza skirt.
The bride's sister and honor attendant, Kimberlee Johnson, wore an amethyst-colored gown, as did the bridesmaids, Nichole Elsner, Cheryl Cechvala and the bride's sister-in-law, Amy Johnson.
The duties of best man were performed by Brent Johnson, and groomsmen were the groom's brothers, Nathan and Todd Bonar, and the bride's brother, Thomas Johnson. Her nephews, Landon and Owen Johnson, were ring bearers. Ushers were Shawn Ash, Matt Koverman and Brett Dillon.
The bride is a clerical specialist with Sidney-Shelby Co. Health Department. She holds an associate degree in business from Edison Community College in Piqua.
The groom, a design engineer with Honda R & amp;D Americas in Raymond, graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree.
