XPOLAND -- Poland United Methodist Church was the setting at 11:30 a.m. June 26 as marriage vows were exchanged by Cathy Louise Johnston, 205 Sheridan Road, and Larry Allen Duck, 6849 Lockwood Blvd., Boardman.
Norman and Audrey Johnston, 259 N. Main St., are the bride's parents. Mr. Duck is a son of the late Leroy and Alyce Duck, who had lived in Williamsport, Pa.
The Rev. David Blood officiated, and a reception followed at the Holiday Inn in Boardman.
The couple spent their honeymoon in San Francisco and are living at 5471 Clingan Road, Struthers.
The bodice of the bride's sleeveless ivory gown was embellished with pearls and featured a matching jacket that was similarly enhanced.
Her sister, Cindy Charlotte of North Olmsted, was matron of honor.
The duties of best man were performed by Ron Marian.
Mrs. Duck is employed as an accountant at Mill Creek Children's Center in Youngstown and Alsteel Fabricators in Mineral Ridge.
Her husband holds a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Lockhaven University, Lockhaven, Pa., and a master's in social work from West Virginia University, Morgantown, W. Va. He also earned a master's in business administration at Youngstown State University and is superintendent with the Mahoning County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities in Austintown.
