Details of a proposal to legalize slot machines:
14 TOTAL GAMBLING LICENSES:
Up to eight at horse-racing tracks for $50 million each.
Up to five at stand-alone sites for $50 million each.
Two at resorts for $5 million each.
UP TO 61,000 SLOT MACHINES:
Up to 5,000 at each horse track and stand-alone site.
Up to 500 at each resort.
GAMBLING REVENUE:
Nearly 50 percent to licensees.
34 percent for property-tax relief.
9 percent to horse-racing purses.
4 percent to host municipalities and counties.
4 percent to finance public bonds for development projects.
