BOSTON -- Lew Ford hit a sacrifice fly following a two-base error by Nomar Garciaparra in the 10th inning as Minnesota beat Boston. Garciaparra fielded Cristian Guzman's grounder up the middle and fired the ball into the Boston dugout. Guzman took third on Jose Offerman's sacrifice, then scored on Ford's fly to left fielder Manny Ramirez. Boston's David Ortiz homered and drove in three to take the AL lead in RBIs with 68.
Devil Rays 19, Blue Jays 13
TORONTO -- A day after their club-record 12 game winning streak ended, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays set team records for runs and hits in a game. Jose Cruz. Jr., Carl Crawford and Geoff Blum homered for the Devil Rays, who finished with 24 hits, three more than their previous mark. The old club record for runs was 15. Julio Lugo went 5-for-7 to set a team record for hits, and Tampa Bay tied its record with 11 walks. Cruz, Crawford, Lugo and Rey Sanchez each drove in three runs for the Devil Rays, who have won 16 of 19.
Tigers 12, Royals 3
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Ivan Rodriguez had three doubles, a single and four RBIs to help the Detroit Tigers stop a five-game losing streak. Rodriguez raised his league-leading average to .373 with his fourth four-hit game of the season. He is batting .478 in his last 23 games with 10 doubles, three homers and 21 RBIs.

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Alfonso Soriano hit a two-run homer off Jamie Moyer (6-3) in the 18th inning, ending the longest major league game since St. Louis beat Florida 7-6 in 20 innings on April 27 last year. It also matched the longest game in Rangers history.
Athletics 2, Angels 1
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Mark Mulder matched his career best by winning his seventh straight decision, and Jermaine Dye hit a two-run homer for Oakland. Mulder (9-2) pitched his major league-leading fourth complete game, allowing four hits. He struck out four and walked three. Mulder is unbeaten in 10 starts since April 28.
Yankees 5, Orioles 2
BALTIMORE -- Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter homered to back a solid pitching of Javier Vazquez, and New York handed Sidney Ponson his seventh straight defeat. Rodriguez hit a two-run shot in the third inning to tie the game, and Jeter gave the Yankees the lead for good with a two-run drive off Ponson (3-10) in the fifth.
NATIONAL LEAGUE
Reds 6, Mets 2
NEW YORK -- Mike Cameron lost Ken Griffey Jr.'s bases-loaded fly ball to center field in the sun, allowing three runs to score in a five-run seventh inning.
Cameron's error foiled a strong start by Tom Glavine (7-4), who leads the major leagues with a 2.11 ERA. Glavine allowed three runs -- two earned -- on nine hits in 61/3 innings.
Expos 3, Phillies 2
MONTREAL -- Tony Armas Jr. (1-2) pitched six scoreless innings for his first win in 14 months and Tony Batista hit a two-run homer. Armas had season-ending shoulder surgery in May 2003 and missed the first two months of this season while recovering from a strained right rotator cuff. He allowed three hits, walked three and struck out seven.

MILWAUKEE -- Mark Sweeney hit a two-run homer to help last-place Colorado win its second road series of the season. Aaron Cook (2-2) won for the first time in four starts, allowing eight hits, all singles, in eight innings. Shawn Chacon finished for his 15th save. Ben Sheets (6-5) struck out 10, reaching double digits for the fourth time season. He allowed two runs and four hits in seven innings.
Braves 9, Marlins 4
MIAMI -- Chipper Jones, J.D. Drew and Nick Green drove in two runs apiece for Atlanta, which avoid being swept in a series for the first time this season. Drew doubled twice and tripled as Atlanta snapped a three-game losing streak. The Braves roughed up Dontrelle Willis and won for just the second time in eight games.
Cardinals 4, Cubs 0
ST. LOUIS -- Chris Carpenter threw eight sharp innings and had two hits and an RBI for St. Louis. The NL Central leaders took two of three from their closest competition, and lead the division by three games after a 7-2 homestand. The Cardinals, who scored all their runs in the fourth with the help of an error by shortstop Rey Ordonez, are 29-8 against the Cubs at Busch Stadium since 2000.
Giants 9, Dodgers 3
SAN FRANCISCO -- A.J. Pierzynski had two run-scoring doubles, Marquis Grissom homered and the Giants won their sixth straight to complete a four-game sweep of Los Angeles. The game also featured the second bench-clearing scuffle in two days. San Francisco's Michael Tucker and Dodgers closer Eric Gagne were ejected in the eighth inning for nearly starting a brawl after Tucker dived away from a high pitch by the NL Cy Young Award winner. Gagne was incensed when learning of his ejection, attempting to charge the umpires gathered at the mound. He flipped the ball over his shoulder toward the mound while leaving the field, then doffed his cap to the San Francisco fans jeering him into the dugout.
