Angels hold installation in Canfield
CANFIELD -- Angels of Easter Seals conducted its installation of officers for the 2004-2005 season May 26 during a meeting held at the home of Carol Lumsden.
Inducted as the new president of the organization was Joan Thompson of Boardman, a 20-year member of the Angels.
Serving with her will be Susan Berny, first vice president; Genevieve Moritz, second vice president; Joyce Bozanich, corresponding secretary; Jill Chesney, recording secretary; and Betty Cmil, treasurer. Several new members were also inducted.
Thompson has chaired the group's spring luncheon and style show, the Magic of an Angels' Christmas and several other events. She has always been active in Boardman community events and was a YWCA Woman of the Year in 2002. She is the owner and president of Thompson Funeral Home in Boardman, and has a daughter, two stepdaughters, a stepson, and 12 grandchildren. Her husband, Cliff, is deceased.

During the business session, a check for $116,000 was presented to the Easter Seal Center.
