Tri-T Colt (ages 15-17)
Struthers Davidson Becker 14, Boardman Civics 4 -- Aaron Young hit two doubles while Mike Galletta and Randal Vecchio added two hits each to lead the Struthers offense. Vecchio pitched a complete game for the victory. Bob Bolaro and Nick Savage had hits for Boardman.
East Liverpool 10, Austintown Denny's 3 -- Andy Lubich had a single, a triple and a homer for All Sport (6-5). Ken Garling singled twice for Denny's (4-6).
Columbiana DeChellis 15, Boardman Boosters 5 -- Greg Snyder had two hits and scored three times. For Boardman, Corey Kellen tripled.
Canfield Aim Nationalease 5, Canfield Farmers National Bank 4 -- Jake Kucek and Andrew Zunic each had two hits for Aim. For FNB, Cody Watkins had two hits.
East Liverpool 8, Niles Dunningan 4 -- Kris Carr tripled and doubled for East Liverpool. For Niles (2-8), Jon Lamuso singled.
Canfield Aim Nationalease 16, Boardman Option Care 7 -- Anthony Gromada, Michael Yager and Brian Fox each had three hits. Steve Schoenfeld and Jim Hudson added two hits each. John Parks had three hits for Boardman.
Babe Ruth (ages 14-15)
Kelley-Robb 9, Howland AC 3 -- Corey Hitt had three singles and three runs; Marc Kanetsky had a single and triple and scored two runs; Frank Palestro scored once and singled; and Mike Carnahan singled, doubled, scored a run and drove in three to lead Kelley-Robb. Other contributors for Kelley-Robb were John Madeline, Andrew Wolf, Sam Bellino and Alex Chick, who all singled. Shaun Soukenik led Howland with three singles. Mike Pappas, Andrew Dobson, Jonathon Brady and Shawn Pelo all singled for Howland.
Line Drive 11, Wharmby 0 -- Eric Polen had a single, a double and a home run, and Nathan Cope and Dean Porter each had two hits for Line Drive. Dan Hanolt pitched the complete-game shutout. For Wharmby, Nick McCartney had two hits.
Rondinelli 13, Salem AC 9 -- Matt Katich had three hits while Tony Brunetti, Cory Collins, Jesse Moses and Mike Hoelzel added two each for Rondinelli. Derek Ball and Dana Rose had two hits for Salem.
Roth Bros. 14, MTC Knights 3 -- Eric Jones hit two grand slams and Rick Gozur had four hits to pace Roth. Brian Frasco added two hits and Brent Timko hit a three-run double.
Belleria 7, All Star Sports 6
Astro Falcons 3, Sluggers 2 -- Steve Gruver pitched seven innings for the Falcons. He struck out 13. Mark Turnbull had three hits. For Sluggers, Andrew Warren had two hits and an RBI.
Roth Bros. 10, Shevies 0 -- Ryan Johnson had three hits while Sean Wardle, Jim Putko and Brian Frasco each added two hits for Roth (8-2).
Babe Ruth (age 13)
Rondinelli Tuxedo 6, Howland A.C. 3 -- Danny Baco and Mike Piesto pitched Rondinelli to victory. John Simon and Shawn Roman each had two hits for Rondinelli while Joe Aulizia had two hits for Howland.
Line Drive 5, Wharmby 2 -- Luke Franken went 2-for-2, Corey Hill had an RBI single and Eric Walters doubled to lead Line Drive. Kevin McCulloh went six innings with six strikeouts for the win. Danny Eich pitched the seventh for the save. Jami Shephard went six innings, giving up five hits for Wharmby. Shephard was 2-for-2 and Garret Herald doubled.
Little b (ages 15-16)
Rondinelli 12, Line Drive 9 -- Rondinelli upped its record to 17-4 by getting 17 hits, led by Joe Iacobucci with three hits, including a double. Ryan Kellar had two hits, including a home run. Tom Popadak, Dan Hammond, T.J. Stoian and Zach Russell added hits for Rondinelli. Ed Deluca, Hammond, Stoian and Russell doubled. Brett Sulonen (1-0) picked up the win and Dave Diyorio earned a save for Rondinelli. David Patrick collected four hits, Brian Wright three and Armani Johnson and Kevin Sikora two each for Line Drive. Armani Johnson was the losing pitcher.
SOFTBALL
Tri-T Pony (13-14)
Haf-hil Services 14, Sandwich Factory 1 -- Lauren Sulick had a double and triple to key the winners. Nikka Bonamase added a triple. Melissa West got the mound win, giving up one hit and striking out eight. Haf-hil improved to 13-0. Natalie Palermo had the lone hit for Mill Creek.
Boardman Diamond 12, Niles Reichard 3 -- Brittany Burin had a triple and two doubles. Allison Joseph singled twice for Niles.
Haf-hil Services 12, A-Z Plumbing 0 -- Kelcie Herberger pitched a two-hitter and struck out nine to lead the winners. Nikka Bonamase, Courtney Rothbauer, Bianca Biondillo and Christie Cole each had two hits to pace Half-hil. Danielle Lewis had both hits for A-Z, including a double.
Boardman Diamond 11, Struthers Clemente 3 -- Justine Cullen had two doubles and four RBIs. Gina Guyer had two triples for Struthers.
