Liv Tyler to join the ranks of celebrity mommies
NEW YORK -- Actress Liv Tyler is pregnant with her first child, a magazine reported.
Tyler, the daughter of Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler, is married to rock singer Royston Langdon of the band Spacehog.
Her baby is due this winter, People magazine said Monday.
Tyler, 26, played the elf princess Arwen in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
She and Langdon married in March 2003 after a two-year engagement.
Tyler's other movies include "Jersey Girl," with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez and "That Thing You Do!"
Memphis producer to have street named after him
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Memphis city officials are honoring R & amp;B producer Willie "Poppa" Mitchell by naming a street after him.
Mitchell, 76, produced hit records by Al Green in the 1970s and guided soul and blues artists such as Ann Peebles, Bobby Bland, Otis Clay and O.V. Wright.
A 1,930-foot stretch of Lauderdale Street between McLemore Avenue and South Parkway East soon will be Willie Mitchell Boulevard. The section includes Mitchell's Royal Recording Studio.
City council approved the change April 27. It becomes official at the end of this month.
Mitchell's family tried to keep the news from him, at least until city officials could honor him at city hall. But Mitchell said music executives began calling to congratulate him.
"It struck me like maybe the music is good," Mitchell said recently of the honor. "I been here so long it surprised me. It made me feel good."
Mitchell, who has diabetes and has been hospitalized often over the past three years, continues to work in his studio.
Princess Diana's butler capitalizes on memories
Proving once again that Brits don't have a monopoly on discretion or taste, Paul Burrell, former butler to Diana, Princess of Wales, keeps squeezing his 15 minutes of fame. This time it's "Paul Burrell in His Own Words," a one-man show on the London stage, in which Burrell shares his pain with a paying audience, People.com reports.
Some tidbits from Sunday's two-hour show, which will assault New York audiences at the Town Hall in Manhattan on Thursday and Friday: Diana would often watch soaps and eat her dinner off a TV tray. And she referred to Burrell as "her emotional washing machine."
During the evening's Q & amp;A period, the tuxedoed Maytag Man said of Prince Charles, "I don't think he ever loved the princess."
Asked sharply by one audience member how much money he made for the evening, Burrell said none. But it wasn't for charity, either: He explained he was there to hawk the paperback version of his memoir, "A Royal Duty."
'King of Queens' co-stars celebrate birth, marriage
The set of CBS sitcom "King of Queens" could not be more festive than if you dosed their punch with ecstasy. First Lea Remini, who plays that pistol of a gal Carrie Heffernan, gave birth to a girl last week. Remini and hubby Angelo Pagan qualify as normal folk and gave their first child a striking yet not overly weird name: Sofia Bella.
The mirth doesn't end! The crack investigative reporting team at syndicated show "Extra" says "King's" royal star Kevin James got married Saturday in a small ceremony at the St. Edward Catholic Church in Dana Point, Calif.
Alas, "Extra" had no biographical or sartorial details about James' "longtime gal-pal," Steffiana De La Cruz. We imagine the bride looked simply marvelous. Ray Romano was one of the 200 loved ones present at the blessed event.
