ROAD WORK | Construction update

The Ohio and Pennsylvania transportation departments are working on these roads in Mahoning, Trumbull and Mercer counties this week.
MAHONING
Beloit/Sebring: State Route 165 will have various one-lane conditions maintained by flaggers from U.S. Route 62 to Beloit. The work is part of a $1 million project to resurface state Route 165 from Route 62 to the Beloit corporation limits and to resurface state Route 534 from state Route 165 to U.S. Route 224. The project is scheduled for completion in late summer. Youngstown: U.S. Route 422 from the old Division Street entrance to Lafayette Street is reduced to one lane in each direction until mid-August.Youngstown: The state Route 711 ramp from Stephens Street to Interstate 680 is closed. The scheduled reopening is in the fall. The detour route is Salt Springs Road to North Meridian Road. Also, the 711 bridge (Division Street) is closed.Youngstown: The state Route 193 "Blue Bridge" is reduced to one lane in each direction.Milton/Jackson townships: The Interstate 76 westbound exit ramp to state Route 534 is closed. Grandview Road at I-76 also is closed. I-76 in both townships will have various one-lane restrictions from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily.Austintown: State Route 46 at the Route 46-Interstate 80 interchange is reduced to one lane northbound. Two lanes are open southbound. The work is part of the $7.2 million project to widen Route 46 to five lanes through the interchange from Silica Road to Webb Road. The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2005.Lowellville: State Route 289 is being resurfaced and is reduced to one lane in each direction through the village. The project is scheduled for completion later this summer.Boardman/Poland townships: U.S. Route 224 is reduced to one lane in both directions between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. daily for resurfacing. Work is expected to continue through the summer.Beaver Township: State Route 46, just south of state Route 165, is closed for the emergency replacement of a culvert pipe. The posted detour is state Route 165 to state Route 164.
TRUMBULL
Vienna: State Route 82 westbound exit ramp to state Route 11 south will be closed until 7 a.m. Monday. The posted detour is state Route 82 westbound to state Route 46 to state Route 82 eastbound. The work is part of a project to repair the bridge on state Route 11. It is scheduled for completion in summer 2004.Warren: Traffic will be maintained by police officers at West Market Street and North Road from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Delays are expected. The work is part of a project to replace 82 traffic signals in Warren.Girard: Trumbull Avenue is closed from Gayla Avenue to Robinwood Boulevard. The posted detour is state Route 193 to Gypsy Lane to Route 422. Gypsy Lane from Belmont Avenue to Forum Health Northside Medical Center is reduced to one lane in each direction.Girard: Broadway Street is closed. U.S. Route 422 from I-80 to the city's northern corporation limits is reduced to one lane in each direction. The project calls for widening about three miles of 422 and should be completed by the fall.Howland: State Route 46 just south of King Graves Road is being widened and resurfaced and is closed until further notice.Hubbard/Brookfield townships: U.S. Route 62 is being resurfaced and will have lane restrictions from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily until further notice.Brookfield: State Route 82 is being resurfaced, and seven bridges along the route are being reconstructed. Route 82 is reduced to one lane in each direction between Collar Price and Warner roads until further notice.

U.S. Route 19: Lawrence County line to Interstate 80: patching.
U.S. Route 19: Perry Township: pipe work.
Carlton Road: French Creek Township: closed for paving.
Mercer-West Middlesex Road: Shenango Township and West Middlesex Borough: road brushing.
Mercer-West Middlesex Road: Lackawannock Township: bridge repairs.
Interstate 79: Lawrence County line to Grove City exit: lane restrictions both north- and southbound for patching.
Interstate 80: Milepost 10 to milepost 15: lane restrictions both east- and westbound for patching.
Lake Road: Mercer Borough to Clark Borough: paving.
Scrubgrass Road: Findley Township: bridge cleaning.
Milledgeville Road: Sandy Creek Township: ditching.
Lamor Road: Hermitage: pipe replacement.
Carlton Road: French Creek Township: detours posted for paving.
Glenn School Road: Sandy Lake Township: detours posted for paving.
Booher Road: Sandy Lake Township: detours posted for paving.
