KEYSTONE CLIPS Committee seeks booths to sell food on Buhl Day



The Buhl Day Committee is looking for operators of food booths for the annual Buhl Day event on Labor Day.
July 1 is the deadline to submit an application for nonprofit organizations wishing to participate.
Applications can be picked up at the Buhl Farm Casino in Hermitage.
Frolic
Maurice K. Goddard State Park will hold its second annual Pioneer Frolic at the Lake Wilhelm Marina from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 27.
The community celebration and pioneer work day will focus on the people who settled this watershed from the late 1700s through the 1840s.
The event includes blacksmithing, an American Indian village, artisans, crafters and a pioneer settler encampment.
Admission and parking are free.
To get to the park from Interstate 79, take Exit 130 to Pa. Route 358 west and follow the signs to Lake Wilhelm Road, which leads directly to the marina.

Pulaski grant
State Rep. Chris Sainato said that Pulaski Township will receive a $500,000 grant to be used to aid low-and moderate-income homeowners with the cost of sewer laterals and connections fees.
The grant is part of the state Department of Community and Economic Development's ongoing effort to stimulate community revitalization and economic development.
The grant comes from a discretionary fund intended for small communities.
