XBOARDMAN -- St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park provided the setting June 5 for the wedding of Jenifer L. Werthman and Matthew S. Gaia, both of 4569 Kirk Road, Austintown. Officiating at the 11 a.m. service was the Rev. Robert Quaintance.
A reception at The Georgetown honored the couple. Since returning from a honeymoon in Chicago, they live in Austintown.
The bride is a daughter of Donald Werthman, 203 N. Yorkshire Blvd., Austintown, and the late Mary Werthman, and the groom is a son of Lawrence and Cheryl Gaia, 1015 Park Circle Drive, Girard.
Mrs. Gaia is a programmer and analyst with AIM Leasing in Girard, and her husband is a programmer with Home Savings and Loan Co., Youngstown. They earned bachelor's degrees in computer science at Youngstown State University.
Beaded Venise lace embellished the bride's A-line gown of white satin styled with cap sleeves and a grand cathedral train.
The groom's sister, Nicole Scott of Columbus, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Stack of Boardman and Ashley Pantall of Mount Holly, N.J., a cousin of the bride. They wore lilac-colored dresses.
Performing the duties of best man was Michael Scott of Columbus, the groom's brother-in-law. Groomsmen were Gregory Gaia of Struthers, the groom's brother, and Jesse Werthman of Austintown, the bride's brother. Ring bearer was Payton Scott of Columbus, the groom's nephew.
