FACTS ABOUT THE CAMPBELL FAMILY
UJames A. Campbell, co-founder and president of Youngstown Sheet & amp; Tube Co., born Sept. 11, 1854; he was the youngest of eight children. Three of his siblings died before he was born.
UUretta Place Campbell, born Dec. 11, 1854, died Oct. 2, 1933, 13 days after her husband, James A. Campbell.
ULouis J. Campbell, James and Uretta's only son, was named after one of his father's older brothers, a captain in the Union Army.
ULouis J. Campbell married his second cousin, Cordelia Campbell, Sept. 15, 1914.
ULouis and Cordelia had two daughters, Uretta, named after her grandmother, and Louise.
UUretta was married three times and had two daughters out of wedlock, Patricia and Jenny. Patricia was reared by her paternal grandparents in Jamaica. Jenny was adopted by her nanny and grew up in England.
ULouise shot and killed her mother, Cordelia, during a family gathering Christmas Eve 1937. The shooting was ruled an accident, and Louise was cleared of all charges.
ULouise was married, had four children, divorced and had another daughter out of wedlock. Her fifth child, Susan, was adopted by a childless California couple.
