In 1920, organized.In 1922, received orthodox charter. August 23, 1925, temple construction began on Myrtle Avenue with doors opening to use March 20, 1926.In 1943, the first rabbi, Samuel Hopfer, was hired.In 1953, the congregation merged with Congregation Shaarei Torah.Oct. 14, 1956, ground was broken at the current location on Glenwood Avenue near Shields Road in Boardman.Between 1957 and 1958, the congregation moved to its new building and became affiliated with United Synagogue of America, the national body of the conservative movement.In 1957, a chapter of United Synagogue Youth was formed.From 1959 to1977, OT Productions performed many plays for the community helping to provide funds for the temple.In the early to mid-1980s, the sanctuary was refurbished. Improvements included a new ark.
