During a late caution period, the pit road official opened the service lane one lap too early. As a result, Johnson was unable to pit while most of the cars behind him did. He had to pit later and it cost him the front spot on the restart. Johnson recovered, and took the lead for good on lap 174.Last year: Kurt Busch passed Jeff Gordon with 24 laps left and held on to win the Sirius Satellite 400 at Michigan International Speedway, becoming the circuit's first three-time winner of 2003.

Hamilton pitted during a caution, and a NASCAR official ruled that his crew failed to sufficiently tighten the lugnuts on the front left tire. Musgrave led for 101 laps, but couldn't maintain it after something came loose on the right front of his Dodge.Last year: Musgrave raced close to the lead, then shoved his way past Jon Wood with 14 laps remaining to win the O'Reilly 200. Schumacher finished 18.2 seconds ahead of Kimi Raikkonen, who had started from the pole.
