Suits filed against property owners

YOUNGSTOWN -- Jackson Township trustees are suing six property owners, seeking to force them to clean up their land.
The suits were filed Tuesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
The defendants and the addresses of their affected real estate are:
UPaul Thompson, 11500 Mahoning Ave.
UJames Pedro, 13222 Palmyra Road.
UJoseph Porcase, 13022 Palmyra Road.
UJesse R. Hooper and Lee E. Hooper, 12523 Palmyra Road.
URaymond Kosa, 2343 S. Bailey Road.
Atty. John H. Gibbon of Cleveland said trustees passed a resolution March 30 declaring the properties public nuisances. It says the properties contain inoperable junk vehicles and other exposed debris.
Trustees are asking the courts to force the owners to clean up the nuisance properties.
A similar court action has been ongoing for a property owner in Ellsworth Township.
