Myers' near no-no guides Mink
Wharmby Sports dropped Youngstown Propane 12-2 to improve to 13-1.
STRUTHERS -- Ryan Myers took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before allowing a run scoring double as Mink Financial defeated Dave Sugar Excavating 12-1 in a Class B League game Sunday.
Myers had 11 strikeouts and walked just one as he won his third game of the season. Ryan Hallapy hit a pair of two run home runs with four RBIs, while Chris Pechalk had four hits, including a triple and two doubles, and Dave Piersante had three hits for Mink (9-4). For Sugar (3-10), Drew Hazel had the double, while Travis Boyle suffered the loss, his first in three decisions. Hallapy now has hit two home runs in a game for the second time this season, and has four homers overall.
Koch Construction/Line Drive 13,Roth Brothers 2
Joe Koch Construction/Line Drive Academy (9-4) pounded out 15 hits and broke open the game by scoring nine runs in the top of the seventh inning. Six Koch/Line Drive players had two hits in the game -- Aaron Boris, Adam Boris, Mike Eliseo, Adam Zakowski, Grant Sevek and Nate Tacsik. Tom Enyeart (2-1) pitched the first six innings for the win. He had four strikeouts. For Roth (2-10), Ben Mackall had two hits and Ryan Foust had a double.
Rondinelli Tuxedo 12,Youngstown Express 1
Rondinelli (7-5) used a 12-hit attack to keep Express (0-12) winless. Scott Adams won for the third straight time as he went the first four innings, with four strikeouts. Brad Borghetti had three hits to pace Rondinelli as every starter had a hit. Carmen Cimino had a triple, while Phil Williamson, Kevin Drummond, and Tom Clayton had doubles for Rondinelli. Tom Williams had a run scoring double for the Express.
Livi Steel 5, Astro Falcons 3
Livi Steel scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie as they sent Astro Falcons to their second straight defeat. Steve Orlosky singled in the go ahead run for Livi (9-5) and another scored on a passed ball. Shawn Carr had a triple and a single and picked up the save, while Justin Byler had a double and a single for Livi. Jake Abbott (2-0) picked up the victory. For Astros (10-4), Dan Bertolini and Frank Turocy had two hits each, while Jared Bartholomew had a double. Robert Shannon (1-2) suffered the loss. He went six innings and had five strikeouts.

Pat Oman hit a three-run home run as part of a 10-run third inning as Wharmby improved to 13-1. Oman finished with four RBIs, while Billy Herman and Dustin Kulka added three hits. Jake Gross and John Warren had two hits each for Wharmby. Jessie Alfreno (2-0) struck out five and walked only one in the complete game victory. Steve Lump had two singles for Youngstown Propane (3-10).
