Fever 72, Liberty 68
NEW YORK -- Tamika Catchings scored four of her 17 points in the final 14 seconds to lead the Indiana Fever to a victory at New York, snapping the Liberty's six-game winning streak.
The Fever, trailing by 13 points in the opening minute of the second half, rallied to beat New York for the second time -- handing the Liberty both their losses this season.
Deanna Jackson and Kelly Miller added 13 points apiece, and Natalie Williams had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Indiana.
Becky Hammon had 22 points and Crystal Robinson added 14 to lead the Liberty, who lost for the first time since dropping the season opener at Indiana -- 69-67 on May 21.
New York led 44-32 at halftime, and stretched its lead to 13 on Tari Phillips' free throw 27 seconds into the second half.
However, Indiana then went on a 21-7 run to take a 52-51 lead with about 7 1/2 minutes remaining in the game. Catchings hit a pair of free throws to give the Fever their biggest lead of the game at 64-58.
Shock 74, Mystics 60
WASHINGTON -- Deanna Nolan scored 10 of her 19 points in the final four minutes to lead the Detroit Shock to a victory over the Washington Mystics.
Detroit closed the game with a 15-0 run, sparked by Nolan's 10 straight points for the Shock's third consecutive victory.
Tamicha Jackson's jumper with 4:42 left gave Washington a 60-59 lead. The Mystics, however, failed to score again and lost their fourth in a row at home.
League-leading scorer Chamique Holdsclaw led the Mystics with 20 points and 11 rebounds
Swin Cash finished with 18 points and seven rebounds for Detroit.
Ruth Riley's first bucket tied at 52 for Detroit with 7:40 remaining. She followed with another jumper for another tie and finished with five points.
