MISCELLANEOUS
Clinical Trials Participation Award: Dr. Richard Barr of Campbell has received one of 10 nationwide awards presented by the American Society of Clinical Oncology at its annual meeting in New Orleans, La. Dr. Barr is a board-certified radiologist practicing with Radiology Consultants, which provides radiologic interpretations at Southwoods X-ray and Open MRI, Poland X-ray; and St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Nursing Assistants' Week: June 10-17 in Ohio as proclaimed by Gov. Bob Taft; theme, "Nursing Assistants: Specialist in the Art of Caring."
Friend of Family Medicine Award: U.S. Rep. Ralph Regula, 16th, R-Navarre, was selected for the award by the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians for enhancing the legislative agenda of family physicians. While a member of the Ohio General Assembly, Regula was instrumental in the creation of the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
