ROTC cadets receive scholarships, awards
Several cadets were honored for their academic achievements.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown State University Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps recently awarded scholarships and also recognized outstanding cadets during the 2003-04 year.
The scholarships were based on the cadets' academic and military performance. The recipients are Ashley Marie Jenkins, daughter of Elaine Harper of Kensington, two-year scholarship, criminal justice; Joseph Jacob Bratek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bratek of Campbell, three-year scholarship, history; and Ryan Thomas Kelley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kelley of Hubbard, three-year scholarship, computer science.
Several cadets received national level awards for the academic year. ROTC designations are MS I as a freshman; MS II, sophomore; MS III, junior; and MS IV, senior.
