Reception held at Canfield church to celebrate Craig 50th anniversary

XCANFIELD -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Craig of Canfield was observed during a dessert reception May 22 in the fellowship hall of Canfield Presbyterian Church.
Hosts for the event were the couple's family, Ken and Cindy Kaschak of Canfield, and Scott and Cindy Craig of Uniontown. The family also includes three grandchildren.
Mr. Craig and the former Shirley Feisley were united in marriage May 22, 1954, at the Canfield church where they remain active members. She sang with the chancel choir for 38 years and he has served as an elder and as an usher.
The couple spend their winters in Harlingen, Texas, where they are affiliate members of the First Presbyterian Church. They are also life members of Ellsworth VFW Post 9571 and Auxiliary, and of Canfield American Legion 177 and Auxiliary.
Mrs. Craig was a secretary for Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation District for 31/2 years, and for Crossroads Resource Conservation and Development, U.S. Soil Conservation Service, for 10 years.
Mr. Craig retired in 1993 after 411/2 years of service with the Youngstown Division of Ohio Edison Co. where he was a safety supervisor. He is a a member of Argus Lodge 545.
