June 13: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Garden Forum Summer Flower Show. This summer garden show presented by Garden Forum of Greater Youngstown will delight the senses.Show schedules are available one month before the show. Entries must be received Saturday by 10:30 a.m., followed by judging, with the show open to the public Saturday from noon-5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The public is encouraged to enter all flower shows.June 13: 2-3:30 p.m. Guided Tour of Fellows Riverside Gardens. Enjoy a leisurely walk in the gardens to admire the vivid hues of peonies and roses displaying their warm summer colors. A garden guide will point out highlights while sharing anecdotes and history. Larry Rosche, author of "Dragonflies and Damselflies of Northeast Ohio," will lead a hike to search for these intriguing insects. Find out the difference between fruits and vegetables. We'll use some of these popular foods to make print patterns. Mahoning Farm Bureau will provide information about local farm markets.
