MAHONING VALLEY To celebrate release of CD, Champions plan 2 local shows
One show is for ages 18 and up; the other is for all ages.
After three years of shows and three extended-play recordings, Youngstown-based band The Champions of All Time is poised to celebrate the release of its first full-length CD -- not once, but twice.
The Champions of All Time plays pop-influenced rock and performs locally, including at last summer's big VexFest concert festival in downtown Youngstown.
The band's new CD, "A Loss For Words," goes on sale Friday throughout the Mahoning Valley.
The Champions of All Time will perform at 10 p.m. Friday at Cedar Lounge, 23 N. Hazel St., Youngstown. The show, for patrons ages 18 and over, also will feature local bands Manifold Stud and Oneside Out. Admission is $5.
The Champions of All Time will do it again at 6 p.m. Saturday at Section 8 Skatepark, 770 N. Main St., Hubbard. Also playing at that all-ages show will be December Son, The Interns and Wesker. Admission is $5.
Members of The Champions of All Time are Jason West, guitar and vocals; Josh Blackann, bass guitar and backing vocals; Kevin Sturdevant, guitar and backing vocals; and Tony Ghioldi, drums.
