Names circulating on call-in radio shows and on Ohio State fan Web sites as a possible replacement for fired men's basketball coach Jim O'Brien:
Thad Matta, Xavier -- led Xavier to the Elite Eight this season but has repeatedly said he has no intention of leaving his school. His contract runs through 2010.Bob Huggins, Cincinnati -- a former Buckeyes assistant coach who has feuded with Ohio State officials, including Geiger, for years because the Buckeyes won't schedule Cincinnati in men's basketball.Bob Knight, Texas Tech -- showed his soft side after he brought the Red Raiders to Ohio State for a game in January. "I've never really forgotten about all Ohio State has done for me -- when I was here as a student and what it enabled me to do after that," Knight said then, his voice choked with emotion. "I have felt deep down more for Ohio State than any of the schools I've coached."Others -- Skip Prosser, Wake Forest; Pete Gillen, Virginia; Jim Christian, Kent State; Dan Dakich, Bowling Green; Tom Crean, Marquette; former Northwestern coach Kevin O'Neill, ex-New Orleans Hornets coach Tim Floyd and former UCLA coach Steve Lavin.
