Texas 7, Oral Roberts 3
AUSTIN, Texas -- Taylor Teagarden homered in a five-run first inning and Texas (53-13) won the Austin regional championship. Oral Roberts (50-11) started seldom-used Conner Tinkler on the mound. Tinkler came in with just two starts this season and 162/3 innings under his belt. He didn't get out of the first inning, giving up four earned runs without recording an out.
Texas A & amp;M 7, Rice 5
HOUSTON -- Justin Ruggiano knocked defending national champion Rice out of the tournament with an eighth-inning grand slam. Rice (46-14) led 5-3 before Craig Stinson, John Infante and Travis Bartek all singled for the Aggies to load the bases in the bottom of the eighth. Ruggiano then hit his first pitch from Philip Humber. Rice won 3-1 earlier Sunday, as Jeff Niemann pitched a four-hitter to help force the decisive game.
Long Beach State 8, Stanford 4
STANFORD, Calif. -- John Bowker homered and drove in three runs, helping Long Beach State (39-19) beat top-seeded Stanford. Troy Tulowitzki and Sean Boatright also homered for Long Beach State. Chris Carter homered and drove in two runs for Stanford (46-14).
Georgia Tech 5, Texas Tech 3
ATLANTA -- Andrew Kown pitched seven innings and Georgia Tech (44-19) hit two homers. Brandon Boggs and Tyler Greene each had solo home runs against the Red Raiders (40-21), giving Georgia Tech eight in its three games. Kown (10-1) won his ninth straight decision by allowing one run on seven hits with seven strikeouts.
Georgia 7, Clemson 6, 10 innings
ATHENS, Ga. -- Clint Sammons' 10th-inning homer sent Georgia (41-21) to the super regional. Georgia got back-to-back home runs in the ninth inning from Bobby Felmy and Jason Jacobs off reliever Tony Sipp to tie it up at 6, inspired after coach David Perno's ejection in the bottom of the eighth. In the first game Sunday, Lou Santangelo's grand slam in the seventh inning capped a comeback from a seven-run deficit to help Clemson force the decisive elimination game with a 10-9 win.
Miami 19, Florida Atlantic 6
CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Jim Burt's three-run double keyed a nine-run seventh inning and Miami (47-11) advanced to the super regional. Richard Giannotti had a grand slam and seven RBIs for Miami, which also got homers from Burt, Ryan Braun, Gaby Sanchez and Erick San Pedro.
Florida 11, UCLA 0
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Tommy Boss pitched a four-hitter to help Florida advance to the super regional. Jonathan Tucker and Ben Harrison drove in a combined six runs. The Gators put the game out of reach by taking an 8-0 lead after the second inning.
Florida State 19, Central Florida 3
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Stephen Drew homered twice and Florida State got 22 hits. Brian Schultz (7-1) picked up the victory with seven innings of six-hit work, securing Florida State's seventh consecutive regional championship. The Knights (47-18) forced the deciding game with a 7-5 win earlier in the day. Dee Brown's solo home run for UCF in the eighth inning broke a tie.
Vanderbilt 7, Virginia 3
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Aaron Garza drove in three runs and Warner Jones added two RBIs to help Vanderbilt knock off the top-seeded Cavaliers (44-15). Virginia beat Princeton 9-0 earlier Sunday, as Matt Avery allowed four hits and struck out seven in a complete game.
Tulane 12, Washington 3
OXFORD, Miss. -- Brian Bogusevic followed his momentum-changing circus catch with a game-tying single, then used nifty baserunning to get the winning run home, and Tulane (41-19) won its second regional title.
Arizona 7, Notre Dame 6
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Moises Duran had two RBI singles, driving in the winning run, and Jason Donald, Richard Mercado and Nick Hundley hit homers to lead Arizona to its first NCAA regional title in 11 years.
LSU 11, College of Charleston 3
BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU starter Lane Mestepey allowed just three hits, and the Tigers (44-17) won their ninth straight regional.
South Carolina 7, North Carolina 6
COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Kevin Melillo's two-run homer in the fourth inning put South Carolina ahead for good, and the Gamecocks advanced to the super regional.
UNC-Wilmington 4, Tennessee 3
KINSTON, N.C. -- Matt Poulk had a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to help North Carolina-Wilmington eliminate Tennessee (38-24). UNC-Wilmington (40-22) was to play East Carolina today in the regional championship. Earlier Sunday, East Carolina defeated UNC-Wilmington 11-4, as Ryan Jones and Mark Minicozzi homered.
Arkansas 4, Wichita State 3
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Charley Boyce pitched the final 72/3 innings just a day after throwing 99 pitches. Arkansas (43-22) beat the Shockers (49-16) twice Sunday. The Razorbacks won the first game 11-9 on Brady Toops' two-out grand slam in the ninth.
Cal State Fullerton 16, Pepperdine 3
FULLERTON, Calif. -- Kurt Suzuki went 4-for-5 with four RBIs, including his 15th home run of the season, to put Cal State Fullerton (40-21) into the super regional. Fullerton won the first game of the day 15-1, as Scott Sarver pitched a complete game and P.J. Pilittere had a career-high five RBIs.
