XThe 21st annual Men's Columbiana County Golf Tournament is planned for June 21 by the American Cancer Society at Salem Hills Golf and Country Club. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by a light lunch. A shotgun start is set for 12:30 p.m. followed by a dinner and awards presentation at 5:30. Winners will advance to the ACS Golf Championship at Firestone Country Club, Akron. The entry fee is $100 a person. Call (330) 533-0546 for details. MEMBERSHIP DRIVES
XWarren-Trumbull Urban League will conduct its 2004 membership drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at its office, 290 W. Market St. Raffles, music and food will be featured, and a free dinner is presented with the purchase of a new membership. The menu includes ribs, fish or wing dings with yams, macaroni and cheese, green beans, bread, cake and beverages.
SALES
XA sidewalk sale is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 15 and from 9 a.m. to noon June 16 at First United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St., Sharon, Pa. Wednesday will be a dollar-a-bag day. For information call (330) 983-0200.
SPECIAL EVENTS
XSt. Ambrose Church, 10692 Freedom St., Garrettsville, will hold its 45th annual Chicken Dinner Festival from 3 to 8 p.m. June 26 and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 27. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. Takeouts will be available. There also will be a Chinese auction, bingo, games for children and adults and a raffle. There will be music Saturday, and a magician will entertain at 1 p.m. Sunday. For information call the church at (330) 527-4105.
