Treatment programs will benefit from golf classic June 14
Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic will hold the event at Avalon Lakes Golf Course.
HOWLAND -- Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic will hold its seventh annual golf classic June 14 at Avalon Lakes Golf Course.
The event will begin with registration at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 11:30. A shotgun start is scheduled for 1 p.m. Rounding out the day's activities will be an hors d'oeuvres and awards reception that also will include a silent auction featuring gift packages and collectibles. The cost is $175 for individuals.
Sponsorships are available at various levels such as corporate sponsor for $1,200; corporate partner, $500; tee-green sponsor, $250; and program sponsor, $150. Among corporate sponsors are Carney-McNicholas Inc., Eyecare Associates, the Suzanne and Al Fleming Foundation, Gasser Chair, Kiwanis of Uptown, National City Bank and Physicians MRI Institute, LLC.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the NKRC's Dick Riley Fellowship Hall and Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Program for Youth.
Background
NKRC is the country's first free-standing drug and alcohol treatment center, opened 57 years ago in Youngstown. In 1999, NKRC became affiliated with Gateway Rehabilitation Center, which is headquartered in Aliquippa, Pa. NKRC and Gateway have provided care for thousands of adults, young people and families struggling with alcohol and drug problems.
