Strawberry Days will feature 5K run, music
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The 15th annual Strawberry Days Art and Music Festival kicks off with a 5K Run/Walk on Wednesday in Strawberry Park on the lower campus of Grove City College.
Registration for the run will be at 7 p.m. in the park.
The bulk of the community event begins at 4 p.m. Thursday with a chicken barbecue in the park.
Festival highlights are:
UThursday
4 p.m.: The 3 Star Band performs.
7 p.m.: Smokin' Joe and the Wild Horse Band.
UFriday
10 a.m.: Children's entertainment begins at the Guthrie Theater with a program featuring Dennis Bowman.
11 a.m.: A magic show, Dixon's Amazing Wonders, on the park stage.
1 p.m.: Appearance by Ronald McDonald.
4 p.m.: Braised steak dinner at Grace United Methodist Church.
7:30 p.m.: The Hern Brothers Band in the park.
USaturday
11 a.m.: The play, "Mother Goose Inc." by the Grove City Theatre Arts Guild.
1 p.m.: Grove City's "American Idol" contestant, Amber Stembal, performs in the park.
7:30 p.m.: "One Band --Three Legends of Rock."
USunday
12:30 p.m.: Gospel presentations in the park.
3 p.m. Talent show.
