Eagle award winner
Nathan Sfara, 18, of Boardman recently received his Eagle Scout award at a court of honor at St. Charles Church.
Sfara is a member of Boy Scout Troop 60 of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Boardman and his Scoutmaster is Dr. Gregory Roush. He has earned 29 merit badges and has held positions of librarian, assistant patrol leader, patrol leader and assistant patrol leader. His Scouting awards include the five-year Pipestone from Seven Ranges Scout Reservation and the six-year service Star Pin from Troop 60.
For his Eagle service project, he improved a two-car garage at the Beatitude House in Youngstown. He painted the interior and built shelving for storage and bicycle racks for children's bicycles.
Sfara, son of Mark and Karen Sfara, graduates from Boardman High School this month. He will attend the University of Dayton in the fall, majoring in engineering. He is a member of St. Charles Church.
DOCTORS
New pharmacist
Erin Eliser, a 1998 graduate of Hubbard High School, has received her doctor of pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University, Ada, Ohio.
Dr. Eliser is the daughter of Eugene and Candy Eliser of Hubbard. She has accepted a position as pharmacist for a Rite Aid store in Dayton.
LAWYERS
Juris doctor degree
Anastacia M. Greene recently received the juris doctor degree from the Washington and Lee University School of Law, Lexington, Va.
She received her bachelor's degree from Westminster College in 1999. Greene is the daughter of Fredrick Greene of Youngstown and Ms. Mary Greene of Canfield.
