Church gets new home
LIBERTY -- Living Water Missionary Baptist Church will meet for the first time Sunday at its new location at 97 E. Montrose St. Pastor Lee T. Rucker Jr. and his wife, Evonne, started Living Water Ministries in December 2003 in their home. They began with Bible study lessons which have evolved into a church. Services include Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. Bible study continues Wednesday nights.
150th anniversary
NEW SPRINGFIELD -- The 150th-anniversary celebration of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 13519 Woodworth Road, will begin with a picnic barbecue at 4 p.m. next Saturday at the church pavilion. Outdoor worship will follow at 6 p.m. Evening entertainment will be by a country and bluegrass band at 7 p.m.
At 10:45 a.m. June 13, worship will include the area bishop, the Rev. Marcus Miller, former clergy and families. A luncheon will follow.
Motor blessing
YOUNGSTOWN -- The first annual Motorcycle, Vehicle and All Drivers Blessing will follow the 4 p.m. Mass today at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 421 Covington St. Teens who have just begun their driving career are especially welcome.
Funding campaign
YOUNGSTOWN -- "It All Starts With Faith" is the theme of a series of television spots examining how faith inspires individual Catholics to meet local needs. The spots were distributed to more than 1,000 television outlets across the country, including those in the Youngstown area. The series is sponsored by the U.S. Bishops' Catholic Communications Campaign. In the Diocese of Youngstown, Catholics contribute to the Catholic Communications Campaign through the annual "Church at Home" combined collection. This year's collection will be held Sunday in all parishes in the six-county diocese. The proceeds also fund the Catholic Campaign for Human Development and the Catholic University of America. Covenant conference
WILMOT -- Dr. Pamela Rutherford, a dancer and speaker, will be a keynote speaker for the Covenant Women of Purpose fifth annual regional conference Thursday through Sunday at the Inn at Amish Door in Wilmot, Ohio. The theme is "In Covenant with the King" from Leviticus 26:9. Shirley Sustar of Heartland Christian Center in Wooster, and Pastor Lorraine Niboro from Nigeria will also speak. The cost is $35. Pilgrimage planned

Walk of reflection
VILLA MARIA, Pa. -- EverGreen in Villa Maria, Pa., presents a Labyrinth Walk, a tool for enriching the spiritual journey, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 16 at Villa Maria Community Center.
