Q. On the season finale of "Las Vegas," Danny was called back to the Marines. Is Josh Duhamel leaving the show? -- S., via e-mail
A. The cliffhanger finale May 17 had former Marine Danny McCoy (Duhamel) being called back to active duty, but you can bet that Josh Duhamel won't be absent when the second season of the hit show begins this fall. "Las Vegas" was the No. 1 freshman drama in the coveted 18- to 49-year-old demographic for the just concluded TV season.
Q. What has happened to Christiane Amanpour, a CNN reporter we have followed for years? Either we have just missed seeing her on CNN lately, or she's not been on. Either way, we have missed her. She is an excellent and credible reporter and we certainly need more of those. -- V.B.B., Corpus Christi, Texas
A. Amanpour does double duty as CNN's chief international correspondent and a contributor to CBS' "60 Minutes." She was in northern Chad in mid-May reporting for CNN on the humanitarian crisis in Sudan. Her story on the plight of Muslim women in the Paris ghettos was broadcast on "60 Minutes" on May 16.
Q. I love the Cartoon Network series "Duck Dodgers in the 24th 1/2th Century." Is that Tom Jones singing the show's theme song? -- M.E., Cincinnati, Ohio
A. It is. Tom Jones sings "The Duck Dodgers Theme," accompanied by rock band The Flaming Lips. The Daffy Duck-Porky Pig space adventure airs Saturdays and Sundays on the Cartoon Network.
