Music and art collide: Derek Hess, a promoter of the underground music scene in Cleveland, is taking his Strhessfest concert event to 20 cities this year. In Cleveland, Strhessfest will be at noon Aug. 15 at Scene Pavilion in the Flats. More than 20 national, regional and local bands will perform, including Thursday & amp; Finch, Converge, Shadows Fall, Ringworm and Black Dahlia Murder. Strhessfest also promotes visual art, from CD covers to fine arts. Tickets go on sale at 4 today at Ticketmaster outlets; call (330) 747-1212. Cost is $25 now, $29.50 day of show. Anyone who buys a Strhessfest ticket by 9 tonight also will receive a free ticket to the Vans Triple Crown Official After Party concert this Saturday, featuring The MADE Tour, Zebrahead, Lola Ray and more.
Place orders Saturday: Tickets for a concert by Irish pop-rock band The Corrs in Pittsburgh will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Corrs will perform at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at Chevrolet Amphitheatre at Station Square. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $25 to $37.50 for reserved seats.
