Audits find districts kept accurate records
Pennsylvania Auditor General Robert P. Casey Jr. has released audits of the Lawrence County Area Vocational-Technical School, Mohawk School District, Union Area School District and Shenango Area School District, all of which found accurate records for the 2000-01 and 2001-02 school years.
The Lawrence County Area Vocational Technical School spent $4.7 million in 2000-01 and $5 million in 2001-02. It received state funds of $525,816 for 2000-01 and $492,436 for 2001-02.
The Mohawk Area School District spent $14.7 million in 2000-01 and $15.4 million in 2001-02. It received state funds of $10.1 million for 2000-01 and $10.4 million for 2001-02.
The Union Area School District spent $7.9 million in 2000-01 and in 2001-02. It received state funds of $4.5 million for 2000-01 and $4.6 million for 2001-02.
The Shenango Area School District spent $10.8 million in 2000-01 and $11.6 million in 2001-02. It received state funds of $6.7 million for 2000-01 and $7 million for 2001-02.
