Babe Ruth (14-15s)
Kelley-Robb 14, Astro Falcons 13 -- Marc Kanetsky had three singles and scored three runs, and Corey Hitt had three singles and scored two runs for Kelley-Robb. Zach Wells and Mark Turnbull each had three singles and scored two runs for Falcons.
Rondinelli Tuxedo 8, Sluggers 3 -- Matt Dado and Cory Collins each had two hits, including one double. Tony Brunetti was the wining pitcher with a complete game for Rondinelli. Branden Costanza had two hits for Sluggers.
Line Drive 8, Howland A.C. 7 -- Line Drive tied the score in the seventh inning, before Howland scored two runs in the top of the ninth. Line Drive responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame, including Joe Koch's two-run hit. Koch had three RBIs and Dean Porter had two for Line Drive. Andy Dobson had three RBIs and Sean Pelo scored twice for Howland.
Wharmby's 13, Belleria 3 -- Nick McCartney, Taylor Englebaugh, David Schafer and JAE Leewothy all had two hits for Wharmby's. Andy Richey was 2-for-2 for Belleria.

Rondinelli's 10, Howland A.C. 6 -- Anthony Franceschelli pitched all seven innings to lead Rondinelli's. Sean Roman and Danny Baco each had two hits. Sean Hammond pitched six innings and had two hits for Howland.
SOFTBALL
Valley Extreme
The 16U fastpitch team won the Mahoning Valley Umpires Tournament, played at the Field of Dreams in Boardman. Valley Extreme posted a 6-0 record and out-scored its opponents 36-3 in the six games. The team had a batting average of .320 and had 20 extra base hits. The pitching staff allowed one earned run. The team won the championship with a 4-0 victory over the Thunder Elite. Other scores were 8-0 over the Lady Wildcats, 4-0 and 7-1 over the Valley Sting, and 3-0 and 10-2 over the Ohio Stars. Kim Calderwood posted five wins. Also on the team were Michelle Antonelli, Sarah Albani, Monica Baytos, Brittany Bucco, Chelsea Fridley, Kendra McLean, Lindsey McCartney, Angela Mills, Kelly Moore, Casee Piquet, Jodi Stanley, Lauren Whetzel, and Lindsay Whetzel. The team is managed by Bruce Whetzel and coaches are Pete Bucco and Tom Albani.
