Two levies for WRTA will be on Nov. ballot

YOUNGSTOWN -- Two renewal levies that support operation of the area's public transit system will be on the November ballot.
The board of the Western Reserve Transit Authority passed a resolution at its regular meeting Thursday to put the four-year and 10-year renewal levies before voters.
Both levies are 2 mills and collectively generate $2 million a year.

The board also awarded contracts to Stratton Chevrolet of Beloit for the purchase of three new vehicles.
The dealership will provide WRTA with a new pickup truck for $31,763 and two vans for $24,500 each.
