Parents announce Damico-Powell engagement

XBOARDMAN -- Nicholas and Barbara Damico of Boardman announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Damico of Dublin, and David T. Powell of Columbus.
Parents of the future groom are Thomas and Pamela Powell of North Jackson.
Miss Damico is pursuing a doctorate in molecular virology, immunology and medical genetics at Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. She graduated from John Carroll University in University Heights with a bachelor's degree in biology and from Youngstown State University with a master's in biology.
Mr. Powell is an associate attorney with Javitch, Block and Rathbone in Columbus. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in biology at YSU and graduated from OSU Michael Moritz College of Law with a juris doctor degree.
The couple have chosen Oct. 9 as their wedding day. They will exchange marriage vows during an open-church ceremony at 2 p.m. at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers. Invitations will be issued for an early evening reception at The Georgetown in Boardman.
