XYOUNGSTOWN -- Monsignor Michael Cariglio officiated at noon June 26 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for the wedding of Michelle Joy Martin and James Ferro. Michael and Mona Martin, 150 Creston Drive, Boardman, are the bride's parents, and the groom is a son of Rose and Orlando Foss of Merritt Island, Fla., and Jim and Liz Ferro of Southwest Ranches, Fla.
A reception was held at the Saxon Club in Austintown.
The couple plan a honeymoon cruise to Alaska. They are living at 627 Date Palm Blvd., Melbourne, Fla.
The bride's halter-style gown of white satin featured a pleated neckline and straps trimmed with pearls and iridescents.
The bride's sister, Melissa Prater, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Susan Matiscik and Mary Jakovina. Junior bridesmaid was the bride's daughter, Brooke Wallace. They wore cranberry gowns.
Randy Foss, the groom's brother, was best man, and groomsmen were Michael Martin, the bride's brother, and Don Riegler. Ricardo Smith, the groom's cousin, was junior groomsman.
The bride holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Kent State University and is a fourth-grade teacher at Palm Bay Elementary School in Palm Bay, Fla. The groom graduated from the Honors College at the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree. He is pursuing a doctorate at Florida Institute of Technology, where he is a graduate assistant. He works at the Campus Counseling Center at East Central Florida's Memory Clinic.
