XROANOKE, Va. -- A honeymoon to Puerto Aventuras, Mexico, followed the June 19 wedding of Melissa Galitsky and Jeffrey Young, both of 5102 Youngwood Drive, who exchanged vows during a 4 p.m. ceremony at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in the presence of the Rev. Timothy Anderson.
A reception at the Elks Lodge followed.
The bride is a daughter of Mary Galitsky, 4562 Sheffield Drive, Austintown, and the late Gary Galitsky. Parents of the groom are Carl Young and Judy Young, both of Salem, Va.
Pearls and sequins enhanced the bride's ivory A-line gown styled with a satin bodice and organza skirt.
Honor attendant was Mary Sharron of Columbus. She wore a burgundy dress.
Jim Martin of Salem, a cousin of the groom, performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Jason Galitsky of Boardman, the bride's brother, and Kevin Young of Roanoke, the groom's brother.
Mrs. Young earned a bachelor's degree in education at the University of Dayton. She is a special-education teacher at Jackson Middle School.
Mr. Young owns a screenprinting and monogramming business.
