XWARWICK, R.I. -- St. Rose/St. Clemens Church was the setting at 4 p.m. July 2 as Amy Vernet and Kevin Schultz, both of Orlando, Fla., were united in marriage by the Rev. Peter Mungeon.
The newlyweds accepted congratulations during a reception that took place at the Historic Roger Williams Park Casino in Providence, R.I., before leaving on a cruise to the western Caribbean.
Since their return, the daughter of Elaine and Pete Vernet of Warwick and the son of John and Eileen Schultz of Youngstown live in Orlando.
The bride's strapless A-line gown of Italian silk was embellished with crystal beading.
Wearing wine-colored gowns were the bride's sister and honor attendant, Teri Vernet, and the bridesmaids, Jennifer Coletta, Carrie Cox and Sarah Kopitsky. Flower girls were Madison and Jordyn Vernet, nieces of the bride.
Tom Craig performed the duties of best man, and serving as groomsmen were Dr. Matt Cox, Tom Mitchell and Dr. Dan Modarelli. The ring bearer was Cullen Vernet, a nephew of the bride.
Prior to her marriage, the bride was employed in the accounting department of The Golf Channel on cable television in Orlando. She is pursuing a degree in court stenography at Winterpark Technology Technical School in Orlando.
The groom graduated from Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa., and the Pittsburgh Film School. He is a producer with The Golf Channel in Orlando.
