MERCER COUNTY Man sentenced in shootings



One man received probation for punching a woman in his home.
MERCER, Pa. -- A common pleas court judge placed a 19-year-old Clarks Mills man on probation for shooting at vehicles nine times from his Hadley Road residence last winter.
Judge John Reed sentenced Timothy Lackey of Airport Road to concurrent 24-month probation terms for three counts of propulsion of missiles and three counts of recklessly endangering another person, all misdemeanors. He also was ordered to make full restitution to the victims.
Court documents say that between Feb. 2 and Feb. 10 this year, Lackey fired nine times from the window of his rented residence at the rear of vehicles driving on Pa. Route 358, Perry Township.
No injuries were reported, although there were children in some of the vehicles. Police arrested him after several motorists reported the rear of their vehicles were shot.

UStacie Blakeslee, 28, of Cranberry Road, Sandy Lake, was placed on two years' probation for misdemeanor identity theft. Last September, court documents say, she used identification information from three women, without their permission, to open fraudulent credit-card accounts on the Internet.
UDaniel Fleet, 23, of Morefield Road, Hermitage, was placed on 12 months' probation for simple assault, a misdemeanor. On Dec. 5, he punched a woman in the head twice at his residence.
UDebra Gerak, 49, address given as Mercer County Jail, was placed on 24 months' probation for recklessly endangering another person and retail theft, both misdemeanors. The terms were ordered to be served concurrently, but will be consecutive to an unrelated jail term she is serving. Gerak stole 10 cans of baby formula worth $116 from Wal-Mart, 3300 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, on July 26, 2003. When a female store employee tried to apprehend her, she placed her car in gear and fled while the woman was standing inside the vehicle's door.
UJoshua Greaves, 21, of West Butler Street, Mercer, was ordered to serve 90 days to six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program followed by 24 months' probation for receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor. On Dec. 11, court documents say, he took two CD cases containing 50 CDs and a CD player from two vehicles parked in the lot of Benjamin's Restaurant, state Route 58, Findlay Township.
