PENNSYLVANIA Development plans are approved

Both commercial and residential projects highlighted the agenda.
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- City commissioners have taken action to advance several economic development projects.
The commissioners voted Wednesday to approve a subdivision creating five building lots of just over 1 acre each in LindenPointe Innovative Business Campus, a planned technical park off South Hermitage Road.
The city is a partner in that development with KAKE Development Co. of Hermitage.
The five lots created by the subdivision are on property owned by KAKE, which holds title to 59 of the park's 117 acres. The city owns the rest.
The park has two tenants so far.
Property plans
The commissioners also approved a pair of land development plans, one for a commercial property and the other for a housing development.
The commercial project involves converting a vacant house at 395 N. Hermitage Road into retail and office space. Scoccia Development owns the property.
The housing project is a 19-unit condominium development off Maple Drive to be known as Garden View Estates. The developer is Garden View Estates of Hermitage, LLC.
Finally, the commissioners approved a zoning change converting 1.2 acres of land between Valley View Road on the east and Pa. Route 18 on the west from single-family residential to general residential/office district.
The land is just north of the Lamor Road intersection with Route 18.
The request for the change came from Igor Pyatetsky who owns the land and has both his home and office in the area.
He needed the zoning change to move his office, Hermitage Muscle Therapy, into a building on that lot.
