December date set by Miss Scheetz, Shannon Sloan

XKristin M. Scheetz of Orlando, Fla., and Shannon H. Sloan of Clearmont, Fla., are engaged.
The bride-elect is a daughter of Susan M. Scheetz of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Struthers, and Peter Scheetz, also of Sarasota. Parents of the future groom are Jimmy and Billie Sloan of Clearmont.
Miss Scheetz graduated from the University of Central Florida in Orlando with a bachelor's degree in communicative disorders and is pursuing a master's in speech-language pathology at the university. She will complete a two-year internship in Illesheim, Germany.
Mr. Sloan earned a bachelor's degree in citrus business at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla. He is serving in the U.S. Army as a warrant officer II and pilots Apache Longbow helicopters. In July, he will be stationed in Illesheim for a three-year tour of duty.
Wyndam Orlando Resort in Orlando will be the setting for the couple's wedding and reception Dec. 18. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony to take place at 4 p.m. and the reception to follow.
