Man's court date set for burglary, drug charges

CAMPBELL -- Justin J. Jones, 18, of Gordon Avenue will appear in municipal court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing and pretrial on charges of burglary, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested Jones at his home Thursday afternoon after a 19-year-old woman identified him as one of three people who broke through a screen in an attempt to enter her 13th Street home.
The woman told police that she heard a strange noise as she was getting out of the shower around noon. When she went to investigate, the woman told police she saw Jones, a woman she recognized, and an 8-year-old boy reaching through a screen in her front window.
Police found a small amount of suspected cocaine wrapped in plastic in Jones' pocket at the time of his arrest.
No charges were filed against the woman or child.
