Director M. Night Shyamalan, much in demand as next week's release of "The Village" approaches, hosts a showing of one of his earlier films, "Unbreakable" (8 p.m., ABC), and gets a chance to promote the new one.
Mel Gibson is the voice of Rocky the braggart rooster in "Chicken Run" (8 p.m., NBC), a clay-animation feature set on a Yorkshire poultry farm. Certain of their coming grim fate, the determined chickens hatch an escape plot that pits greedy, soulless humans against barnyard birdbrains.
No, Andy Sipowicz has nothing to do with "NYPD Animal Squad" (8 p.m., Animal Planet), a special that focuses on specially trained cops who are responsible for keeping the city safe from rowdy animals. Really.
"Not Another Teen Movie" (9 p.m., Comedy Central), a 2001 sendup of the conventions of teen movies of recent decades, is perhaps best appreciated by long-ago teens who can relate to the movie's John Hughes High School and its Anthony Michael Dining Hall. The cast includes Chyler Leigh and Lacey Chabert.
Two Habitat for Humanity homes in Bucks County, Pa., get special treatment on "Trading Spaces" (9 p.m., TLC) as the budgets go from $2,000 to $25,000. There's major remodeling and a surprise in store for one of the families.
