ASSOCIATIONS
XWilliam Penn Association Branch 28 will hold a joint picnic at Penn Scenic View Park near Seven Springs, Pa., Sept. 11. A bus has been chartered by the local branch to travel to the event. The price will be dependent upon how many reservations are received. Reservation deposits of $25 are being requested and may be mailed to William Penn Association, 1606 Albert St., Youngstown, Ohio 44505. Those attending will be advised of any further balance due if needed, and that amount may be paid the day of the trip. Cost of the picnic upon arrival will be $8 for adults and $4 for students for an all-you-can-eat meal. CLUBS
XOhio Cultural Alliance will hold a dinner meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Grand Buffet in Boardman. A report will be given on the recent OCA/AAA-sponsored trip to China. Cost is $11 per person, and reservations must be made by Wednesday by mailing checks to the OCA, P.O. Box 561, Canfield, Ohio 44406-0561.
XYoungstown After 5 will hold a "Second Hand Rose" dinner from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Lockwood House in Boardman. Suzy Owens will be the musician, and speaker will be Anna England. Cost is $10. XYoungstown South Christian Women's Club will hold a "Summer Sensations" luncheon from noon to 1:45 p.m. Aug. 12 at Antone's Banquet Centre, Boardman. Jewelry will be displayed by Kim Plichta, soloist will be Leah Pappus and speaker will be Marge Zatchok on "Sharing Life's Sensational Moments." The cost is $9. FARM BUREAUS
XJohn C. Fisher, executive vice president of Ohio Farm Bureau, will be the featured speaker at Trumbull County Farm Bureau's annual banquet Aug. 12 at the Garden Brook Banquet Hall, Cortland. The evening will begin with a reception with agricultural and government leaders at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Bureau members will also elect new trustees and state delegates and discuss a proposed dues increase.

SINGLES
XOriginal Christian Singles will meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 2 at Glenwood Methodist Church. There will be a surprise guest. Those attending are asked to take snacks, finger foods or salads.
