XNEW SPRINGFIELD -- Emmanuel Lutheran Church of New Springfield was the setting July 3 for the wedding of Christine Berton and Chad Hanysh.
The Rev. Frank Podolinski Jr. officiated at 2 p.m. for the daughter of Thomas and Patricia Berton, 662 Beech Ave., Boardman, and the son of Carl and Janet Hanysh, 2915 Ansel Court, Austintown.
A reception was held at the Maronite Center in Youngstown, and the couple spent their honeymoon at Playa del Carmen, Mexico. They live at 8126 Stadler Ave., Boardman.
The bride's white strapless gown was enhanced with beading.
Her sister, Anna Mackall, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Stephanie Bindas, Crystal Bissell, Tiffany Perry, Sally Jones and Dawn Elkins. They wore cornflower-blue gowns. Flower girl was Jordyn Bissell.
Garret Frank served as best man, and groomsmen were Kevin Guthrie, the bride's cousin; Jason Hanysh, the groom's brother; Gary Jones; Jim Perry; Christopher Chieffo; and Ed Kalaher. The bride's nephew, Michael Costello, was ring bearer, and usher was Matt Kempe.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in social work, Mrs. Hanysh is a coordinator with the Mahoning County Educational Service Center in Boardman and is pursuing a master's in health and human services at YSU.
Her husband holds a bachelor's in marketing and management from YSU and is a merchandiser with the Coca Cola Co. in Youngstown.
